Biography:
At the age of 16, Kelly, a.k.a. KG Smoove, was given his first set of turntables. 10 years later, he has taken his passionate part-time hobby into a lifestyle.
Starting off in high school with a pair of speakers and coffee cans for lights, Kelly leaped blindly into the DJ industry. Playing for adolescent pool and birthday parties he picked up the basic skills. A residency for a local teen club ignited his passion for music. From then on it was confirmed: Kelly Gump was going to be a DJ.
Playing throughout engineering college, Kelly perfected his art of mixing. A steady flow of private events, weddings, school functions, and frat parties allowed a reputation to build. Slowing investing , two speakers on the floor become sound arrays, coffee cans became intelligent fixtures, the minivan became a moving truck, but the turntables always stayed the same.
Kelly has relocated to the east coast working full time for a major loudspeaker manufacturer while attending graduate school. Equipped with a full digital DJ rig, Kelly is looking to fill bookings in the
